Mercury Studio is teaming up with Clarion Content and Durham Resurrection Community to raise money for the Reality Center by putting on a fun, family-friendly event THIS SATURDAY at 2:00pm at Motorco Music Hall. There will be excellent music, wonderful people, and tasty food trucks (the food they make, not the trucks themselves). Rumor has it that there will even be some delightful drinking chocolate, courtesy of Cocoa Cinnamon.
What is the Reality Center, you ask? Well, let me tell you.
The fantastic people at the Reality Center provide life-changing programming for at-risk youth as well as young adults with disabilities. Instead of me boring you with more words, I’ve posted below a couple of videos by the very talented folks at Inkspot Crow Films.
If you are, indeed, more of a words person, and those videos have not convinced you to attend our event, please take a look at this article by Jesse James DeConto, published just this week.
The Durham News | Dance, from the inside out
Maybe if you’re used to strange looks everywhere you go, then eventually you start not to care what other people think. Or maybe the Reality Center has cultivated such an atmosphere of acceptance, you know your Real Friends are going to love you even if you trip over your own feet and sprawl out on the floor.
Still not convinced?!
By now, I know there’s no way that you’re not planning to come to this fantastic event, so you may as well go to the facebook event and RSVP in the affirmative.
Thanks!
